An original wall-hanging composed of sea grass, raffia, handmade paper and cotton fabrics with applique of natural media such as dried fruits and leaves, sea shells, nut shells, bark and wooden beads.
This 'Oceanic Crossing' themed piece of artwork is designed to be hung on a wall in a surf or beach themed living space, and inspired by the Quiksilver Crossing, is based on the idea of traveling between undiscovered islands and finding new ways of life. Its grid like structure resembles that of a nautical map with tiny islands interspersed between its many lines, representing the routes taken on a special journey. Measures approx 150cm x 125cm. Created in 2002.
